The Digital Marketing Strategist is responsible for developing and executing integrated digital marketing strategies to achieve the company’s business goals. This role involves overseeing digital campaigns, managing marketing budgets, analyzing performance metrics, and ensuring that digital marketing efforts drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of digital marketing channels, a creative yet data-driven mindset, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to implement effective marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing Strategy Development
Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies that align with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
Oversee the execution of multi-channel digital marketing campaigns, including social media, paid search (PPC), SEO, email marketing, content marketing, and display advertising.
Identify target audiences, set campaign goals, and create tactical plans to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
Continuously optimize strategies based on data insights and industry trends to ensure effectiveness and ROI.
Campaign Planning & Execution
Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns across various channels, ensuring they are aligned with overall marketing objectives and timelines.
Manage and coordinate digital ad spend across paid channels (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn, etc.) to ensure budget allocation is optimized.
Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling content and messaging for digital campaigns that resonate with the target audience.
Work closely with the sales team to align digital marketing strategies with lead generation and conversion goals.
Performance Analysis & Optimization
Monitor and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns, including traffic, engagement, leads, and conversions, using tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, and social media insights.
Conduct A/B testing and multivariate testing to improve campaign performance and user experience.
Use data to refine campaign tactics, improve targeting, and adjust strategies to maximize return on investment (ROI) and achieve KPIs.
Analyze customer behavior data, market trends, and competitor strategies to identify opportunities for improving digital marketing initiatives.
Content Marketing & SEO Strategy
Oversee content marketing strategies and work with content creators to produce blog posts, videos, infographics, and other types of content that support digital marketing campaigns.
Develop and implement SEO strategies to improve organic search visibility, increase website traffic, and enhance the user experience.
Collaborate with the SEO team to optimize on-page and off-page SEO efforts and ensure alignment with broader marketing goals.
Social Media Strategy & Engagement
Lead social media marketing efforts by developing strategies to increase brand awareness, drive traffic, and engage with target audiences on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and TikTok.
Analyze social media performance and use insights to refine strategies, create targeted content, and enhance community engagement.
Manage social media content calendars, ensuring timely posts and consistent messaging across all platforms.
Email Marketing & Automation
Oversee the creation and execution of email marketing campaigns to nurture leads, engage existing customers, and drive conversions.
Collaborate with the email marketing team to design automated workflows, customer journeys, and segmentation strategies to maximize engagement.
Work closely with other marketing functions (creative, product, PR, and analytics teams) to ensure alignment of digital marketing strategies with overall business goals.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, helping them develop their skills in digital marketing.
Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and influencers to support digital marketing initiatives.
Stay Up-to-Date with Trends & Best Practices
Continuously monitor the digital marketing landscape, including emerging platforms, new tools, and innovative strategies.
Attend industry events, webinars, and conferences to stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing.
Evaluate and implement new marketing technologies and software to improve efficiency and enhance campaign performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful digital campaigns.
Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels (SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, display ads) and tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, etc.).
Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), marketing automation platforms, and email marketing tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, MailChimp).
Experience in managing paid media campaigns and optimizing digital advertising spend.
Solid understanding of web analytics, A/B testing, and performance metrics.
Preferred Skills
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for reporting and analysis.
Knowledge of conversion rate optimization (CRO) techniques and best practices.
Familiarity with CRM systems and customer segmentation strategies.
Experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with various departments.
