Job Description

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Device Integration Engineer to manage the integration and connectivity of critical medical devices within its IT ecosystem. This role involves ensuring seamless connectivity, data accuracy, and compliance for approximately 140 devices, including 9 anesthesia machines, 13 ventilators, and 5 ECG systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Device Management & Integration
    • Configure, integrate, and maintain connectivity for anesthesia machines, ventilators, ECG systems, and other clinical devices.
    • Ensure accurate data flow between devices and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting
    • Proactively monitor device performance and resolve connectivity or data transmission issues.
    • Provide technical support for clinical teams and escalate complex issues when necessary.
  • Compliance & Documentation
    • Maintain detailed documentation of integration processes, device configurations, and workflows.
    • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards (HL7, FHIR) and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with biomedical engineering, IT infrastructure, and vendor teams to deliver reliable integration solutions.
  • Optimization & Reporting
    • Analyze device data flow for efficiency and recommend improvements.
    • Generate regular reports on device performance and integration status.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with medical device integration and healthcare IT systems.
  • Strong knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and interoperability standards.
  • Familiarity with anesthesia machines, ventilators, and ECG systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving in clinical environments.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
