Design Engineer- Piping

DESIRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: -

• M-Tech, B-Tech, Diploma in Mechanical / Marine / Offshore / Piping Engineering or related field.
• Above 8 years of relevant experience in:
• 3D piping modelling for marine, offshore, or oil & gas projects
• Preparation of piping documentation and deliverables for fabrication and installation.
• Preparation of piping documentation and deliverables for fabrication and installation.
  
  

• Technical Expertise: -
• Strong knowledge of the Marine and Offshore Industry
• Proficiency in material standards and specifications
• Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), and material specifications
• Expertise in Site Survey
• Perform 3D modeling of piping systems for marine vessels, onshore and offshore rigs, platforms, etc.
• Extract and develop:
• General Arrangement (GA) drawings
• Isometric drawings with Material Take-Off (MTO) for production
• Prepare:
• Line-wise piping MTOs from 3D models
• Valve and Special Items MTOs from P&IDs
• Engineering & Design Responsibilities: -
• Proposal and calculation preparation
• Preparation of P&IDs and engineering calculations
• Responsible for drawing quality checks
• Ensure all design deliverables are reviewed, accurate, and issued on time.
• Collaboration & Communication
• Client and classification society communication
• Collaborate with designers, modelers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in project deliverable.

• Proficiency in CADMATIC, E3D, NAVISWORKS, and similar 3D Modelling tools.
• Experience in interpreting and modeling piping systems from P&IDs.
• Ability to prepare support drawings and extract accurate Material Take-Offs (MTOs) from 3D models.
• Knowledge of preparing and updating as-built drawings.
• Strong understanding of marine and offshore piping layouts and components.
• Familiarity with international piping standards and marine/offshore terminology.
• Good knowledge of piping materials used in marine and oil & gas applications.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
