Delivery Boy

As a Delivery Boy, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products reach our customers in a timely and efficient manner. You will be responsible for picking up, transporting, and delivering various items to clients or businesses, while ensuring the items are in perfect condition upon arrival. Your role is crucial in maintaining client satisfaction and ensuring repeat business through professional and courteous service. You must possess excellent time-management and organizational skills, as well as a keen sense of direction. An ability to work independently and an outstanding driving record are key requirements for this role.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver various items to assigned destinations promptly each day.
• Verify the accuracy of each delivery order prior to leaving the loading point.
• Plan efficient routes to minimize delivery time and fuel consumption.
• Maintain a professional and tidy appearance while on duty and interact politely with clients.
• Ensure the delivery vehicle is well-maintained, checking oil, water, and fuel regularly.
• Keep track of delivery data and ensure records are correctly updated in the system.
• Communicate any issues or delays with the dispatch team as soon as they arise.
• Handle the items with care, ensuring no damage occurs during the delivery process.
• Collect payments or obtain signatures when necessary, following company procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation laws and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay updated with industry standards and procedures.
• Assist in troubleshooting basic delivery vehicle issues when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for at least two years.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or relevant role preferred.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and local traffic conditions.
• Physical ability to load and unload heavy items as needed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines.
