The Dean Continuous Professional learning is a new leadership position in the Sharjah Education Academy (SEA). As one of three Deans (Education, Continuous Professional Learning, Research) the position reports to the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) and is a senior academic who will provide leadership and strategic direction for teaching and learning innovation across the Academy.
The incumbent will have an established scholarly profile in innovative teaching and learning, experience in collaborating with schools, teachers and school leaders and deep knowledge of teacher education across the career span.
The role is accountable for developing and implementing SEA’s teaching and learning strategy, professional learning programs, and micro credentials in alignment with the strategic vision and plan.
Responsibilities include developing and enhancing academic programs, overseeing curriculum innovations, promoting innovative teaching practices, and ensuring the quality of the student learning experience.
This role involves working with other senior leaders, faculty, and staff to meet the institutions educational goals.
