Job Description

As a Datacenter Engineering Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, maintaining, and ensuring the reliability of electrical systems within data centers. Your expertise will ensure that data centers operate at optimum efficiency with minimal disruption, safeguarding the integrity and availability of data. You will collaborate closely with a team of engineers and technicians to develop innovative electrical solutions, improve power efficiency, and adhere to industry best practices. This role demands a keen understanding of electrical systems, critical data center infrastructure, and a commitment to continuous improvement in design and operational excellence. Being a crucial contributor to our data center operations, you will also ensure compliance with environmental, safety regulations, and contribute to sustainability initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems tailored for data center infrastructure.
  • Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to enhance electrical system efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical system integration.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate potential issues.
  • Manage electrical projects from the planning stages through to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor power systems and initiate timely corrective actions when necessary.
  • Analyze power usage data to implement energy-saving measures and systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary equipment and services.
  • Provide training and technical support to maintenance staff and technicians.
  • Develop comprehensive reports on electrical system performance and improvements.
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining documentation for all electrical operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in data center electrical system management.
  • Proficient knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and infrastructure.
  • Experience with industry-standard software for electrical system analysis is essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills for work with diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations concerning electrical systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines and objectives.
