Job Description

The Data Entry Operator 24O25 will be primarily responsible for inputting, updating, and maintaining accurate data into the company's database systems. In this role, attention to detail and precision are crucial as the information handled is pivotal for various departments within the organization. The operator must ensure data integrity and confidentiality while performing their duties. This position demands a high level of concentration and the ability to work methodically and efficiently. The successful candidate will be proactive in verifying data accuracy and possess excellent organizational skills to manage large volumes of information systematically. This role is integral to supporting the business operations by ensuring that all data is current and correctly inputted for seamless processes and decision-making.


Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and update data as required by respective teams and departments.
  • Verify the accuracy of data before inputting by cross-checking with source documents.
  • Maintain records of data entry activities and logs for reference and audit purposes.
  • Prioritize and batch material for data entry according to the urgency and importance.
  • Handle confidential information responsibly and ensure data protection protocols are followed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure data integrity and completeness across systems.
  • Identify discrepancies or errors and report them to the management or relevant department.
  • Update digital files and documents in line with organizational changes or requirements.
  • Prepare routine reports and summaries of data entry activities for management review.
  • Test new database systems or software changes and provide feedback as needed.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of data entry processes and procedures.
  • Respond to information requests, retrieving documents from the digital database when necessary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification necessary for this role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other data entry software systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in data entry roles or similar administrative capacities.
  • Excellent typing skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure data accuracy.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong analytical skills to detect data discrepancies and suggest corrective actions.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to achieve data entry goals.
