ABOUT THE ROLE

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its autoimmune, inflammatory joint disease and connective tissue disorder services and is seeking an experienced Consultant Rheumatologist to join its clinical team.

The role offers an opportunity for an internationally trained rheumatologist to work within a modern, quality-driven healthcare environment serving a diverse patient population. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive specialist care while working closely with multidisciplinary teams and maintaining high standards of patient-centred care.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, nurses, allied health professionals and modern diagnostic and treatment facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose and manage inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, vasculitis, gout, osteoporosis and autoimmune disorders.
• Prescribe and safely monitor DMARDs, biologic therapies, immunosuppressants and infusion treatments.
• Perform joint assessments, injections and musculoskeletal ultrasound where within the scope of practice.
• Coordinate patient care with nephrology, dermatology, pulmonology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics and physiotherapy teams.
• Educate patients regarding disease management, medication safety, lifestyle modifications and flare management.
• Contribute to clinical registries, audits, safety monitoring and evidence-based clinical protocols.

Applications are welcome from internationally trained Consultant Rheumatologists holding recognised specialist qualifications such as:

• American Board of Internal Medicine – Rheumatology
• UK CCT / MRCP with Rheumatology Training
• European Board or National Specialist Registration
• Royal College Certification, Canada
• Australian FRACP
• Arab Board
• DM / DNB / FCPS or an equivalent recognised specialist qualification

Candidates from the USA, UK, Europe, Canada, Australia, India, the Middle East, Africa and South America may be considered, subject to eligibility for UAE medical licensing and the healthcare facilitys credentialing requirements.
