ABOUT THE ROLE

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its high-acuity intensive care, organ support and multidisciplinary critical care services and is seeking an experienced Consultant Critical Care Physician to join its clinical team.

The role offers an opportunity for an internationally trained critical care physician to work within a modern, quality-driven healthcare environment serving a diverse patient population. The successful candidate will provide advanced critical care management while working closely with multidisciplinary teams and maintaining high standards of patient-centred care.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, nurses, allied health professionals and modern diagnostic and treatment facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the management of critically ill medical, surgical, trauma and postoperative patients in the intensive care unit.
• Provide advanced organ support, including mechanical ventilation, haemodynamic management, renal support coordination and sepsis management.
• Perform critical care procedures such as airway management, central venous access and invasive monitoring according to clinical expertise and facility privileges.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary ICU rounds with consultants, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and allied health professionals.
• Support effective communication with patients families, including goals-of-care discussions and appropriate ethical decision-making.
• Contribute to ICU protocols, infection prevention, clinical audits, simulation training and quality improvement initiatives.

• American Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine
• UK CCT / FFICM / MRCP or FRCA pathway
• European Diploma in Intensive Care Medicine
• Royal College Certification, Canada
• Australian CICM Fellowship
• Arab Board
• DM / DNB / FCPS or an equivalent recognised specialist qualification
