Job Description

As a Cashier at 13M26, you will play a critical role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring smooth and efficient transactions at our facility. You will be the face of our company, interacting directly with customers to provide them with helpful services and a positive shopping experience. Your duties will involve handling cash exchanges, managing transactions accurately, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the cashier area. Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and respond to their inquiries effectively and professionally.
  • Accurately process customer transactions including cash, credit, and returns.
  • Operate the cash register efficiently and address any operational issues timely.
  • Ensure the cashier area is clean, organized, and free of clutter.
  • Balance cash drawer at the end of each shift, ensuring all amounts are accounted for.
  • Assist in preparing reports and documentation as required by management.
  • Handle customer complaints gracefully, escalating complex issues when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all security, safety, and cash handling procedures.
  • Maintain stock levels of cash register supplies and request replenishments as needed.
  • Provide accurate information about our products and services to customers.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous service improvements.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures in all customer interactions and transactions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education requirement necessary for this position.
  • Previous experience as a cashier or in similar customer-facing roles preferred.
  • Proficient with cash handling and basic mathematical calculations needed for transaction management.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively serve and interact with a diverse clientele.
  • Attention to detail to ensure cashier area is meticulously maintained and organized.
  • Strong problem-solving skills needed to handle customer complaints efficiently and successfully.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, busy environments and adapt to changing situations.
