The CAD Draftsman is a crucial member of our design and engineering team, responsible for creating precise technical drawings and plans for construction and manufacturing projects. This role requires an individual with a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. The ideal candidate will be able to accurately interpret architectural and engineering notes and specifications to produce detailed and accurate blueprints. The CAD Draftsman must be adept at collaborating with engineers and architects to refine designs and adjust plans to ensure project feasibility and compliance with industry standards. This role is pivotal in the execution of projects, contributing significantly to the planning and production phases, ultimately ensuring that the final structures are safe, practical, and aesthetically pleasing.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed drawings and specifications for complex architectural and engineering projects.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to understand project requirements and develop design concepts.
• Revise and update designs to accommodate changes in project specifications and client needs.
• Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards and regulatory guidelines for safety and quality.
• Use CAD software to produce 2D and 3D design plans and layouts for inspection and approval.
• Conduct site measurements and surveys to gather accurate data for drafting and designing.
• Maintain organized records of all designs and revisions to support project documentation.
• Assist in preparing documentation and technical reports related to the project's design phases.
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to ensure alignment on design objectives.
• Identify and troubleshoot design problems by working with team members to find viable solutions.
• Provide technical support and guidance on matters related to design specifications and modifications.
• Optimize design processes by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new CAD technologies and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience of at least 3 years as a CAD Draftsman or similar role.
• Proficiency in major CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of construction and manufacturing processes and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work with precision and accuracy.
• Solid communication skills to work effectively with a team and articulate design processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot design-related issues effectively.
• Fluency in interpreting technical specifications, blueprints, and construction documents.
