Autocad Draftsman (225-618)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled AutoCAD Draftsman to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software for various projects. The individual in this role will work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to translate concepts and designs into accurate representations that can be used for construction, manufacturing, and documentation. A strong understanding of engineering principles and keen attention to detail is essential to succeed in this position. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be capable of working independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications using AutoCAD software.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to interpret design concepts into technical plans.
• Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards and specifications.
• Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes and project modifications.
• Prepare layouts, plans, and detailed scale drawings for construction and production.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve technical drawing issues and discrepancies.
• Maintain an organized and up-to-date filing system of project drawings and documents.
• Prepare and review rough sketches and provide feedback for improvements and accuracy.
• Utilize AutoCAD to create three-dimensional models for project presentation and analysis.
• Participate in project meetings to discuss and resolve design and drafting challenges.
• Assist in the preparation of the material take-offs for project budgeting and planning.
• Perform quality control checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and thoroughness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman or similar role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software and familiarity with other CAD applications.
• Strong understanding of design and architectural drafting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly.
