Job Description

The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that all food and beverage operations within the venue run smoothly and effectively. This position requires a dynamic, detail-oriented individual who can manage a team to deliver exemplary service while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for assisting the Food & Beverage Manager in executing strategic plans to enhance guest satisfaction, streamline operations, and maximize profitability. This involves overseeing daily operations, managing budgets, upholding compliance with health regulations, and maintaining excellent supplier relationships. The role demands leadership, organizational skills, and a strong ability to communicate and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including staff, customers, and suppliers.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in managing daily operations across departments.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by training and coaching food and beverage staff.
  • Manage inventory levels and place orders to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Monitor and evaluate cost management to maximize operational profitability.
  • Oversee quality control to maintain food safety and health standards compliance.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing and service agreements.
  • Implement and oversee promotions and marketing strategies to boost sales.
  • Assist in scheduling and managing rotas to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Handle customer complaints efficiently while ensuring a satisfactory resolution.
  • Support the development and implementation of training programs for staff.
  • Assist in financial planning and budgeting for the food and beverage department.
  • Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute events and functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in food and beverage management required.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, financial planning, and cost management.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and solve problems efficiently.
