Job Description

The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager is a pivotal role within the hospitality industry, responsible for collaborating with the Food & Beverage Manager to deliver exceptional dining and beverage experiences for guests. This position requires an individual with strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality customer service. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing all aspects of food and beverage operations, ensuring efficient service, and maintaining high standards in food quality and service delivery. They will also be instrumental in driving revenue through effective management, innovative promotions, and ensuring compliance with food safety and health regulations. This role combines operational excellence with strategic planning to enhance guest satisfaction and achieve business objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in day-to-day operational activities.
  • Ensure high standards of food and beverage service are maintained consistently.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to optimize menu planning and presentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and oversee ordering and procurement processes.
  • Train, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure efficient operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Implement and maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards in all areas.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop promotional activities that drive revenue.
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback in a professional and prompt manner.
  • Prepare reports on food and beverage costs, revenues, and profitability.
  • Support event planning and execution, ensuring all client specifications are met.
  • Maintain communication with suppliers to negotiate deals and manage relationships.
  • Foster a positive work environment and motivate staff to achieve their best performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage complex schedules effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations and industry trends.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in using restaurant management software and MS Office applications.
