Assistant Associate Professor In Digital Media Design

The University of Kalba seeks a faculty member specializing in Digital Media Design, with strong capabilities in creative digital production, interactive media, artificial intelligence, and contemporary design technologies. The successful candidate will contribute to practice-based teaching, creative research, digital studio development, and collaboration with the creative industries.

Responsibilities

• Teach practical and theoretical courses in digital media design and media production.
• Supervise creative projects, portfolios, and student internships.
• Integrate generative AI, immersive technologies, and emerging design tools into teaching.
• Contribute to the development and operation of digital media studios and production facilities.
• Produce peer-reviewed research and/or recognized creative work consistent with university requirements.
•  Establish collaborations with design studios, production companies, and creative industries.
• Support curriculum development, program accreditation, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in university service and academic committees.
   

Qualifications

• PhD in Digital Media Design, Media Production, Digital Arts, Multimedia Design, Interactive Media, Visual Communication Design, Graphic Design, or a closely related discipline from a recognized university or equalized by the UAE Ministry of Education.
• A demonstrated record of teaching excellence aligned with international standards.
•  Demonstrated research or creative scholarship, supported by publications, exhibitions, or recognized creative projects.
•  A strong professional portfolio demonstrating expertise in digital design and media production.
• Relevant creative industry experience is highly desirable.
• Candidates must teach, assess student work, and advise students in both Arabic and English.
