Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies before medical procedures.
• Assist anesthesiologists with the setup and administration of anesthesia correctly.
• Monitor and ensure the sterility and cleanliness of anesthesia instruments and areas.
• Check and calibrate anesthesia machines to ensure optimal performance levels are met.
• Ensure that all anesthesia equipment complies with safety regulations and standards.
• Document usage and inventory of anesthesia supplies accurately and promptly.
• Provide direct assistance to anesthesiologists during procedures, ensuring readiness.
• Respond swiftly to equipment malfunctions during procedures, mitigating potential risks.
• Maintain effective communication with surgeons and operating room personnel throughout.
• Organize and ensure the safe storage and handling of anesthesia drugs and supplies.
• Assist in the post-operative care and assessment of patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements and updates in anesthesia technology and techniques.

Requirements

• A degree or certification in Anesthesia Technology or a related healthcare field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Anesthesia Technician.
• Strong understanding of anesthesia procedures, equipment, and pharmacology.
• Excellent attention to detail, especially in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Demonstrated competency in maintaining sterility and infection control protocols.
