Qualifications

• E: PhD in Maritime Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Business, or a closely related discipline.
• P: Recognized qualification for teaching in Higher Education
• P: Relevant industry body affiliation/ membership

• E: Demonstrated university teaching experience at the postgraduate level in Maritime Research Methodology, Maritime Operations Management, or a closely related discipline. 
• E: Experience teaching one or more of the following areas: Research Methods, Maritime Operations Management, Logistics, or related postgraduate courses. 
• E: Strong understanding of contemporary maritime industry practices and their application to postgraduate teaching. 
• E: Professional experience in the maritime, shipping, port, logistics, or supply chain industry

Teaching Responsibilities

The Adjunct Faculty will be expected to:

• Prepare, develop, and deliver teaching and learning materials for postgraduate courses, particularly Research Methods for Maritime Professionals and Advanced Maritime Operations Management. 
• Develop course materials, assessments, and learning resources in accordance with the approved syllabus. 
• Assess and grade assignments, presentations, and examinations, providing timely feedback to students.
•  Maintain accurate student attendance and academic records. 
• Provide academic guidance and consultation to students during the course. 
• Participate in course moderation, examination, and quality assurance activities as required. 
• Comply with Sharjah Maritime Academys academic policies, regulations, and CAA requirements. 
• Attend departmental meetings and faculty activities when requested by the Head of Department.
