Job Description

An Accounts Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of a company's financial and accounting processes. This position involves overseeing and coordinating various accounting tasks, supporting the finance team by maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely and efficient processing of invoices, payments, and financial reports. The Accounts Coordinator acts as a liaison between the finance department and other departments, ensuring clear communication and understanding of financial procedures. They are expected to have strong analytical skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. This role requires a blend of organizational skills, technical accounting knowledge, and excellent communication abilities.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate the timely processing of accounts receivable and payable transactions.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in ledgers and financial reports.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize financial procedures and enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to assist management decision-making.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounting records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Manage the financial aspects of inventory, including tracking and reporting variations.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing relevant documentation and explanations.
  • Monitor financial transactions and report any discrepancies or unusual patterns immediately.
  • Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and resolution of payment-related issues.
  • Communicate with clients and vendors regarding account statements and payment issues.
  • Evaluate and improve financial systems and implement new procedures as needed.
  • Assist in the budgeting process by providing necessary data and financial insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of accounting or finance-related work experience.
  • Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to financial tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles is essential.
