Job Description

The ASC Academic Advising Systems Coordinator works closely with the Director of the Academic Support Center (ASC), Information Technology (IT), the Office of the Registrar (OR), Associate Deans from the Colleges/School, and academic advisors. The position reports directly to the Director of the ASC. The ASC Academic Advising Systems Coordinator will work closely with relevant stakeholders to support the implementation and development of AUS’s academic advising system, Stellic, with particular responsibility for degree audit rules and academic catalogue information. The coordinator will support the accuracy, functionality, and maintenance of advising system information and processes in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders. The ASC Academic Advising Systems Coordinator may also perform other duties as assigned, within the parameters of part-time employment regulations, the position’s scope and responsibilities, and the successful candidate’s qualifications and skill set.

Job Responsibilities

Stellic Implementation and Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to support the implementation, configuration, and development of Stellic as AUS’s academic advising system.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the ASC, IT, Office of the Registrar (OR), Colleges/School, and academic advisors on advising system matters.

Degree Audit Rules and Academic Program Information

  • Support the development, review, testing, and maintenance of degree audit rules in Stellic.

Other Duties

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of the ASC, within the parameters of the position’s part-time status, scope of work, and the successful candidate’s qualifications and skill set.

Required Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • High level of computer literacy and demonstrated aptitude for learning and using technology and information systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Familiarity with a university environment, academic advising, and higher education terminology.
  • Experience working with data entry, data validation, or quality assurance processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with academic program requirements, degree audit rules, and data.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly and provide support to system users.
  • Ability to understand and interpret academic program requirements and translate them accurately into system requirements.
