An AC Technician is a skilled professional responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Responsibilities

• Install new air conditioning systems and equipment according to specifications.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on air conditioning systems and components.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems using specialized tools.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable standards and industry best practices.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous refrigerants following environmental laws and regulations.
• Repair or replace defective wiring, controls, and components in HVAC systems.
• Advise customers on the importance of proper system maintenance and upgrades.
• Keep accurate records of services provided and any issues encountered.
• Respond to emergency service calls to assess and resolve HVAC malfunctions.
• Perform equipment inspections and manage preventive maintenance schedules proactively.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely procurement of necessary parts and tools.
• Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and apprentices as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required for this position.
• Completion of a certified HVAC training program with proven technical skills.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an AC Technician or similar role.
• Valid licensing or certification as required by state laws or regulations.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and mechanical equipment operations.
• Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities essential.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers.
