The Digital Media specialist is a multifaceted role combining the skills of a graphic designer, (SEO) Search Engine Optimiser, web developer and video editor. This individual will be responsible for creating visually stunning digital assets, optimising content for search engines, and supporting web development initiatives to enhance user experience and drive online engagement for all multimedia publications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Graphic Design:
Design compelling and visually appealing digital assets, including banners, graphics, video editing, social media visuals, and other promotional materials, digital and physical.
Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all digital platforms.
Collaborate with vendors and the Communications department to develop creative concepts and designs that align with campaign objectives and target audience.
Manages and maintains a digital asset library of logos, pictures, video and press reports
SEO Optimization:
Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify opportunities for improving search engine rankings and increasing organic traffic.
Optimise website content, meta tags, and other elements for maximum visibility and relevance to target keywords.
Monitor and analyse SEO performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Web Development:
Assist in the development and maintenance of company websites, implementing design updates and enhancements as needed.
Oversees and maintains the company’s website (e.g. format and content) in order to keep abreast and accurate information.
Collaborate with developers and vendors to ensure website functionality and performance meet best practices and user expectations.
Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in web development, recommending innovative solutions to improve website design and functionality.
Minimum Professional Experience Required
5 to 6 years of professional experience in digital media, with a strong focus on graphic design, video editing, SEO optimization, and web development.
Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Solid understanding of SEO principles and best practices, with experience using tools such as Google Analytics
Solid experience with Wordpress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Angular, Sharepoint, with the ability to make front-end website updates and modifications.
Strong creative vision and attention to detail, with the ability to translate concepts into visually appealing designs.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
