Responsibilities
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
Essential Functions
Assists his/her captain or head waiter during the service by staying constantly at his/her disposal.
Contributes constantly to active promotions of in-house sales by optimal knowledge of all services provided by the hotel. Knowledge of the opening hours and promotions of all F&B-outlets is seen as rudiment.
Is acquainted with the suggestions of the day before starting the shift.
Does the cleaning of all trolleys and pedestal tables.
Is responsible for the polish and mis en place of all cutleries.
Is in charge of filling the sugar dispensers, mustard pots, toothpicks and oil & vinegar recipients.
Is in charge of supplying the restaurant with all linen.
Follows the daily cleaning plan.
Respects the closure plan of the restaurant.
Provides an overall high levels of Food and Beverage service to guests and ensures that guest satisfaction are met.
Knows and understands policies relating to Food & Beverage and others.
Recognizes good quality products and presentation.
Checks and improves all service standards established by the company.
Provides assistance to the staff when required during peak periods.
Manages wastes by reducing and recycling, changing staff behaviour to carefully use all resources.
The holder of this statement can be asked to take on other tasks in addition of the ones stated, in a reasonable framework.
Qualifications

Must have advanced knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.
Advanced English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, balance sheets and vouchers.
Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items
Ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures to pre-check and order and close out a check
Ability to work stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time.
