JOB DESCRIPTION
The Revenue Accounting Specialist – Credit Cards reconciliation is responsible for managing the reconciliation of credit card transactions for hotels supported by the UAE-based Centre of Excellence (COE), covering the Middle East and Africa region. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of credit cards reconciliation, identifying and resolving variances, and supporting timely month-end closing activities.
The role reports to the Revenue Accounting Supervisor.
Responsibilities
Position Summary:
- Prepare accurate and timely credit card reconciliations by matching POS records, bank deposits, and PMS system postings.
- Generate and share weekly reconciliation status reports with hotel teams, clearly highlighting outstanding issues and ensuring timely follow-up.
- Investigate discrepancies and collaborate with hotel finance teams to resolve variances in credit card transactions.
- Post relevant journal entries into the financial system in line with accounting standards and requirements.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations for credit card-related accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain clear and organized reconciliation documentation, adhering to internal control and audit standards.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation to drive efficiency and standardization across supported hotels
- Support additional tasks and initiatives as required by business operations or leadership.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS

The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:
- Accounting knowledge, in particular AR and Revenue Accounting
- Systems knowledge, in particular Navision, OnQ/OA and Excel
- Fluent in English (written & verbal) – additional languages (French/Arabic) a plus
- Strong communicator—able to liaise effectively with customers, hotel teams, and internal stakeholders
- Process improvement mindset, with a continuous focus on identifying more efficient ways of working and opportunities for automation
- Inquisitive & proactive – willing to learn, ask the right questions, and challenge the status quo by questioning the Why and How.
- Well organized, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work under pressure

- Minimum Education: High school graduate
- Minimum Years of Experience: Years as a General Accountant or Income Auditor
