Resident Engineer

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Resident Engineer to oversee and manage site supervision activities for construction projects, ensuring that works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, and project schedules. The Resident Engineer will act as the Engineer’s representative on site and coordinate with clients, contractors, authorities, and internal project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily construction activities on site.
• Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, contract requirements, and relevant authority regulations.
• Review contractor submissions including shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and work schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical and construction issues.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and report delays or risks.
• Inspect works to ensure compliance with quality assurance and quality control requirements.
• Review and certify contractor progress payments, variations, and claims.
• Conduct regular site meetings and prepare progress reports.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental requirements are properly implemented on site.
• Issue site instructions, NCRs, and observation reports when required.
• Coordinate with local authorities including Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Municipality, and utility agencies for approvals and inspections.
• Lead and supervise site inspectors and support staff.
• Ensure project handover, testing, commissioning, and close-out documentation are completed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
• Membership in recognized engineering bodies is an advantage.
• Approve by RAK Authority

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 10–15 years of overall experience in construction supervision.
• Minimum 5 years as Resident Engineer in UAE/GCC.
• Experience in infrastructure, roads, utilities, drainage, or building projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE authority standards and regulations.
