Quality Inspector (Raw Glass and Processed Glass)

A Quality Inspector for raw and processed glass ensures that both incoming materials and finished products meet strict quality

standards through detailed inspection, testing, and documentation.

Responsibilities: 

Raw Glass Inspection

• Inspect incoming raw glass sheets for surface and edge defects such as scratches, bubbles, inclusions, cracks, chips, or distortion.
• Verify glass thickness, dimensions, squareness, and flatness using precision measuring instruments.
• Ensure raw glass is stored under proper conditions to prevent contamination or damage.
• Record and maintain detailed inspection data, reports, and traceability documentation.
• Participate in corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address recurring quality issues.
• Support corrective and preventive actions related to recurring quality concerns.

Processed Glass Inspection

• Inspect processed glass items for surface defects, edge quality, and optical clarity.
• Measure glass thickness, dimensions, edge finish, and flatness using precision tools.
• Verify product specifications against job orders, drawings, and quality standards.
• Conduct stress, impact, and thermal resistance tests to ensure safety and performance standards are met.
• Record inspection results accurately and maintain traceability records for each batch or order.
• Ensure calibration and proper use of inspection tools and testing equipment.
• Verify adherence to industry standards such as ISO, durability, and environmental impact.

 Qualifications & Skills

• Technical diploma or certification in quality control, manufacturing preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in glass processing or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of glass processing techniques.
• Knowledge of quality standards and inspection methods specific to processed glass.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and visual inspection ability.
• Effective communication and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with production staff.
