Position Title: Production Supervisor
Location: Ras Al Khaimah, UAE
Position Overview
The Production Supervisor is responsible for safely supervising and coordinating chemical plant operations and production activities to achieve production, quality, and safety targets. The role includes managing batch manufacturing operations, monitoring PLC-controlled systems, coordinating troubleshooting of process issues, supporting maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with HSE and operational procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
Supervise daily production activities and manpower allocation as per production plan.
Monitor Mixers, pumps, filling machines, and utility systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Monitor PLC-controlled systems and coordinate actions for alarms or process deviations.
Prepare production reports, update batch records, and perform SAP data entry accurately and on time.
Coordinate batch manufacturing activities according to production schedules and formulations.
Ensure proper raw material charging, product transfer, and line clearance activities.
Coordinate with warehouse, maintenance, planning, and quality teams for smooth operations.
Ensure production targets, productivity, and operational efficiency are achieved.
Ensure compliance with all HSE procedures, permit systems, and PPE requirements.
Ensure safe handling of chemicals, solvents, and hazardous materials.
Report and escalate unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses, and process abnormalities.
Ensure products meet quality specifications and batch sheet requirements.
Monitor equipment condition and coordinate troubleshooting activities.
Supervise and guide operators, technicians, and outsourced manpower.
Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, OEE improvement, ISO standards, and cost-saving initiatives.
EMPLOYEES SUPERVISED
This position oversees 10 direct reports.
Minimum Requirements
5–10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or process industries.
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Process Engineering.
Experience in solvent-based, adhesive, resin, coating, or related chemical processes preferred.
Experience handling Solvents, Chemical blenders, PLC-controlled systems, and filling operations.
Experience supervising shift operations and manpower teams preferred.
Preferred Requirements
Good understanding of chemical plant operations and safety practices.
Ability to troubleshoot operational and process issues.
Knowledge of SOPs, batch processing, and ISO 9001 / 14001 systems.
Basic understanding of pumps, valves, utilities, and instrumentation.
Ability to work in shifts and manage operational priorities.
