Responsibilities

• Operate washing machines, dryers, and pressing equipment to industry standards.
• Inspect and sort laundry items based on fabric type and cleaning requirements.
• Ensure all detergents and cleaning chemicals are properly measured and used.
• Coordinate with the housekeeping team to meet daily laundry needs efficiently.
• Perform minor repairs on clothing items, such as sewing buttons or patches.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area and equipment.
• Report any malfunctioning machinery or safety hazards promptly to management.
• Iron, fold, and package laundered items neatly and systematically.
• Track inventory of linens and related supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations.
• Facilitate timely delivery of cleaned laundry to designated departments or areas.
• Ensure the quality and condition of cleaned items meet established standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is commonly preferred by employers.
