Responsibilities
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
Essential Functions
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all in-house AV equipment, including but not limited to audio, video, lighting, and control systems.
- Ensure that all AV equipment is in perfect working condition at all times.
- Manage inventory and maintenance records of all AV equipment.
- Assist in the budgeting process for AV equipment upgrades and repairs
- Set up and operate AV equipment for hotel events, conferences, and meetings as required, including microphones, speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards.
- Collaborate with event coordinators and clients to understand and meet specific AV requirements for each event.
SUPPORTIVE FUNTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company
- Provide technical support during events, ensuring the seamless execution of AV services.
- Conduct regular system checks and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment failures.
- Stay current with the latest in AV technology and suggest upgrades to enhance guest experiences.

- Proficiency in operating audiovisual equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for technical issues.
- Knowledge of various audiovisual setups and configurations.
- Familiarity with signal flow and routing in AV systems.
- Capability to adapt to different event requirements.
- Understanding of basic lighting principles.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and client s.
