Truly memorable dining experiences are built on more than great food and beautiful settings, which is why we are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager who can lead by example, inspire the team, and deliver consistently high standards of service from the first welcome to the final farewell.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  • Support the day-to-day management of the restaurant and confidently step in for the Restaurant Manager when required
  • Lead from the front to deliver refined, consistent service from the first welcome to the final farewell
  • Ensure every service moment reflects IHG brand standards and the outlet’s service philosophy
  • Supervise, coach, and inspire the team to deliver polished and memorable guest experiences
  • Conduct engaging shift briefings and service energisers, keeping the team informed on VIPs, special occasions, and daily highlights
  • Maintain a strong floor presence, engaging with guests and handling feedback or concerns with discretion and professionalism
  • Drive Guest Love results and ensure service recovery is handled seamlessly and thoughtfully
  • Oversee cleanliness, safety, and presentation of the outlet to luxury standards at all times
  • Support stock control, ordering, and cost management in line with budgets and operating procedures
  • Drive upselling, team incentives, and overall outlet performance with a focus on quality and value
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and responsible business standards
  • Actively support sustainability initiatives and IHG Green Engage practices
  • Take on ad-hoc operational responsibilities to ensure flawless service delivery

What We need from you:

  • Previous supervisory experience in an à la carte restaurant within luxury hotel environment
  • A confident, hands-on leadership style with strong communication and people skills
  • Solid understanding of service operations, guest experience, and basic financial controls
  • Ability to review service and sales performance and contribute to P&L discussions
  • Physically fit to remain on the floor for extended periods, including bending and lifting when required
  • Strong literacy skills with a good command of reading, writing, and basic maths
  • Flexibility to work evening shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Full compliance with local food safety and alcohol service regulations
  • A warm, polished, and approachable manner that builds trust with both guests and colleagues
