Arabic Teacher

Job Description

The Arabic Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate Arabic lessons to Primary students. The successful candidate will support students’ language development, cultural understanding and confidence in speaking, reading and writing Arabic within a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Arabic lessons suitable for Primary students.
• Develop students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet different learning abilities and needs.
• Use creative, interactive and technology-enhanced teaching methods.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate assessment and learning records.
• Establish a positive, well-managed and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support students’ understanding of Arabic language, culture and heritage.
• Collaborate with class teachers, the Arabic department and the Inclusion Team.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress and development.
• Participate in school events, meetings, professional development and extracurricular activities.
• Follow school policies relating to safeguarding, behaviour, health and safety and student wellbeing.
  
  

• Experience teaching Arabic within a British-curriculum school.
• Familiarity with UAE education requirements and school expectations.
• Experience supporting students from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
• Ability to integrate technology and interactive resources into lessons.
• Experience contributing to Arabic cultural events and enrichment activities.
• Professionalism and safeguarding awareness.
• Assessment and progress tracking.
