Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Ras Al Khaimah, UAE
Position Overview
Maintenance Technician will be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the job holder maintains the equipment and infrastructure in good working order to ensure optimal production conditions. Performs developed preventative/predictive maintenance tasks.
Primary Responsibilities
To ensure implementation of all Maintenance policies, SOP and procedures in the manufacturing activities.
Perform Preventive Maintenance services of equipment in Production Plants, Utilities, Air Conditioning Systems and FF & FA System promptly in line with the planning communicated by the Supervisor.
Operation and Maintenance of Utilities like Chiller, Air Handling Unit, Air Compressors etc
Support personnel (operators) as needed to complete specific work. Assist with machine changeovers, as required.
Willing to be called in for repairs on all shifts
Check for problems on the equipment and/or infrastructure and organize the work, following the diagnosis of the problems found and estimated time to repair.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic assemblies, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operational manuals and manufacturer’s specifications.
Hand on experience for maintenance of various Pumps, Blowers, Vessels, Piping System, Conveyor Belts and other mechanical equipments in the plant
Hands on experience of Material Handling Equipments like Hand Pallet trucks, Forklift, Stackers, Drum Lifter etc
Hands on experience for troubleshooting of PLC’s, HMI and instrumentation related work
Knowledge about reading P&ID for process and Utilities
Knowledge about logic of interlocking of the equipment or system
He should have worked on Electrical Utilities like PCC, MCC, Metering Kiosk, Breakers etc.
He should be able to analyse the repetitive breakdowns and identify the Root Cause and plan for its elimination
He should be able to coordinate with vendor to execute the various Maintenance jobs effectively
Intimation of required spares to Maintenance Supervisor or Manager Implementation of all corrective actions for respective audit points as per instructions from Supervisor or Manager
Support in factory pest control plan & related activities
Knowledge about 5S, ISO
Maintaining machinery to ensure Optimum Availability, Maximum Uptime, Maximum Efficiency and Maximum Capacity Utilization
Noting down the readings for the consumption of Electricity, Water and Diesel in the factory premises as per instructions from Maintenance Supervisors
Maintaining effective shop floor discipline and achieve the best results from the available resources
Familiar with work to permit system, LOTOTO system.
Document Maintenance repairs performed (e.g. Service Reports, Check the Water Meters) and complete technical records (e.g. managing technical documentation, Maintaining electrical and mechanical drawings, Preventive Maintenance Checklist, Maintaining the shift Logbook and daily checklist, Calibration Plan, AMC Plan, History Cards)
Carry out all operations in compliance with all legal and Company policies and procedures, regarding EHS, storage, housekeeping

Minimum Requirements
ITI (Electrician/ Mechanical) 2 years Full Time course or Full Time Diploma course in Electrical / Mechanical / Instrumentation Engineering
5-7 Years of experience in Maintenance and Utilities
Knowledge about Permit to Work System
Able to analyse and troubleshoot Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electrical issues
Able to read and interpret Electrical circuit drawings for PCC, MCC and Utilities
Availability to work on call whenever required
Need to work in shifts
Ability to use hand tools and power tools
Working knowledge of computer applications (MS Office suite, internet accessibility)
Must possess skills in mechanics (AODD Pumps, pumps, gearboxes, machinery repair)
Understanding of all types of instrumentation and calibration procedures
Understanding of all types of instrumentation and calibration procedures
Preferred Requirement
Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, willing to improve systems and to adapt to new technologies
Preferred candidates from Chemical Industry
Respond to demands and make decisions in a short period of time.
