As per the new UAE labor law, any part-time worker who hasn’t completed one year of service is not eligible for gratuity. Moreover, in case an employee has completed one year, then his/her gratuity is calculated based on the percentage of total annual hours a part-time employee worked compared to a full-time employee. The end of service benefit for the part-time employee would be this percentage of the end of service benefit for full-time employees.
