Your Day to Day

The Spa Therapist administers professional massage and body treatments to our guests. They must have a thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities, possess a general understanding of body treatments and be willing to train in spa specific massage and body treatment offerings. They must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our guests.

Some of your main role responsibilities are:

• Perform different types of massages, beauty treatments and wellness therapies as per current Spa offerings
• Maintain detailed records of massages, treatments and therapies performed on each spa guest
• Communicate with guests during massages to adjust massage techniques as required
• Resolve guest complaints and report any accidents to the Spa Manager or Spa Receptionist in the manager absence
• Clean and sanitize work areas, changing treatment room sheets and sterilizing all instruments and equipment before each use
• Explain massages and treatments to guest and provide suitable recommendations as needed
• Ensuring that the spa is adequately stocked with spa supplies and reporting shortages to the Spa Manager
• Enquire about guests medical conditions and allergies before providing spa services
• Suggest and promote retail products or additional services
• Cooperate with and report on administration on any arising issues
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment
• Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa
• Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management
• Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention
  
  

Ideally, youll have some or all of the following competencies and experience were looking for:

• The ideal candidate should have licensed in massage therapy and cosmetology or aesthetics
• Proven experience working experience as a Spa Therapist in a five-star hotel or resort environment
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and different massage techniques,
• Result-oriented and self-motivated along with a positive attitude.
• Knowledge of written and verbal Business English
