Your Day to Day:

As a Recreation Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily recreation operations, ensuring high service standards, coordinating guest activities, and motivating team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role requires flexibility, strong leadership skills and a willingness to work outdoors for extended periods while maintaining a positive, energetic and guest-focused attitude. Experience in a resort or hospitality setting is preferred, while a background in fitness and gym operations is considered an advantage.

Some of your main role responsibilities are:

• Supervise daily operations of the gym, pool, beach, and recreation facilities.
• Lead, train, and motivate the recreation team to deliver exceptional guest service.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper maintenance of recreation facilities and equipment.
• Organize and promote recreation programs, wellness activities, and special events.
• Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns professionally and promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, inventory, and incident reports.
• Collaborate with departments to enhance the overall guest experience.
• Support the Assistant Recreation Manager in achieving departmental goals, budgets, and operational initiatives.
• Oversee Recreation Department operations in the absence of the Assistant Recreation Manager.
• Monitor team performance, implement service improvements, and ensure policy compliance.
• Perform other duties as required
  
  

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

• 1 to 2 years supervisory experience in recreation, leisure, hospitality or resort settings
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage teams and ensure service excellence.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations
• Having UAE Lifeguard license for pool and beach, first aider certification is an advantage.
• Gym/fitness instruction background is an advantage.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
