Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Forklift Driver to join our dynamic manufacturing operations team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the efficient and secure movement of raw materials, work-in-progress inventory, and finished goods throughout our production facility. Your expertise in operating forklifts and adherence to strict safety protocols will directly contribute to maintaining seamless production workflows, minimizing downtime, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. As a key member of the logistics and production support team, your attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to operational excellence will play a vital role in supporting our manufacturing goals and delivering high-quality products on time.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts (counterbalance, reach, and pallet jacks) to transport materials and products within the warehouse and production floor.
  • Perform daily pre-operational inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of material movements, inventory counts, and equipment usage.
  • Follow safety procedures, including proper load securing, safe lifting practices, and adherence to traffic control zones.
  • Collaborate with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure timely material delivery and staging.
  • Assist in inventory audits, cycle counts, and stock organization to support lean manufacturing practices.
  • Respond quickly to urgent material handling needs during peak production periods.
  • Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in workplace safety.

Requirements

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; formal forklift certification required (OSHA-compliant).
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on forklift operation experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently under high-pressure conditions.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, material handling best practices, and OSHA regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory tracking tools is a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
