X-Ray Technician

The X-Ray Technician performs diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions. The role includes positioning patients, operating radiographic equipment, and ensuring image clarity and patient safety. Technicians must follow strict protocols to minimize radiation exposure while maintaining high standards of patient care and equipment operation.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures in accordance with physician instructions.

• Prepare patients for imaging by explaining procedures and positioning them properly.

• Operate and maintain radiographic equipment safely and efficiently.

• Ensure images are clear, high-quality, and meet diagnostic needs.

• Follow radiation safety standards for patient and technician protection.

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare staff.

• Perform routine equipment checks and arrange for repairs if necessary.

• Ensure cleanliness and readiness of imaging rooms and equipment.

• Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.

• Valid license or eligibility (as per UAE region).

• 2+ years of experience as an X-Ray Technician.

• Knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques.

• Familiarity with radiation protection guidelines and practices.

• Strong attention to detail and patient care skills.

• Good physical stamina for assisting with patient positioning.

• Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.

• Proficiency with digital imaging systems (PACS/RIS).

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
