As a Wound Care Staff Nurse, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care to patients requiring specialized wound management. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive and regular assessments of patients’ wound healing progress.
Implement evidence-based wound care protocols to promote optimal patient outcomes.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and procedures.
Monitor patients’ responses to treatment and adjust care plans as necessary.
Educate and advise patients and their families about wound care management.
Ensure proper documentation of all wound care assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with healthcare regulations.
Utilize advanced wound care techniques, including debridement and infection control.
Stay informed about the latest developments in wound care procedures and technologies.
Provide training and support to junior staff and student nurses as needed.
Participate in case reviews, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare compliance standards.
Requirements
Valid registered nurse (RN) license.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or an equivalent level of education and training.
Minimum of two years of experience in wound care or a related field.
Certification in wound care preferred, such as WOCN or CWON certification.
Strong clinical knowledge and skills in wound healing and infection control.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
Proficiency in electronic medical records and healthcare documentation systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
Commitment to continuing education and staying current with wound care innovations.
Empathetic approach to patient care with sensitivity to individual needs.
