Job Description

As a Workshop Supervisor, you play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of a workshop comprising skilled technicians and craftspersons. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that all workshop activities run smoothly, efficiently, and safely, adhering to industry standards and regulations. Your leadership will harness team productivity, uphold quality assurance protocols, and streamline project timelines, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to budget constraints. You will be the key contact point for team briefing, performance assessment, and resource allocation, ensuring optimal utilization of talent and equipment. An adept problem-solver and a motivator, you will foster a positive workplace atmosphere, enhancing team collaboration and continual improvement ethos.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise all activities within the workshop for optimized workflow.
  • Manage the scheduling and delegation of tasks among workshop team members.
  • Monitor and enforce safety regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Liaise with clients to understand requirements and provide project updates.
  • Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement effective solutions.
  • Facilitate training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge base.
  • Resolve any conflicts or issues within the team professionally and timely.
  • Prepare reports on operational efficiency and areas needing attention.
  • Collaborate with management to align workshop goals with company objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a workshop or similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of workshop operations and equipment maintenance practices.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges effectively and efficiently.
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure high standards of quality control are met.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
