As a Workshop Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our workshop, ensuring that work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Your leadership will directly influence the productivity and morale of the workshop team, fostering an environment where precision, safety, and collaboration are paramount. You will be responsible for guiding a team of skilled technicians and workers, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to specification. Additionally, you will liaise with management and clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing any challenges that arise. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage resources effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the workshop to ensure high efficiency and safety.
• Coordinate and assign tasks to technicians based on project requirements.
• Ensure all workshop tools and equipment are maintained in working order.
• Facilitate training and development programs to enhance team skills.
• Monitor the quality of work produced, ensuring it meets company standards.
• Implement and enforce health and safety protocols throughout the workshop.
• Schedule and lead regular team meetings to discuss progress and issues.
• Prepare and manage inventory, ordering necessary supplies and materials timely.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to resolve operational issues.
• Conduct performance reviews, providing constructive feedback to staff members.
• Compile reports on work progress, resource allocation, and team performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing a diverse team.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a workshop setting.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities under tight deadlines.
• Proficient in using workshop-related software and management tools.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
