The Workshop Supervisor is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our workshop. This role involves managing a team of skilled technicians and ensuring that safety, efficiency, and quality controls are adhered to at all times. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong leadership abilities, and a solid understanding of engineering or technical processes relevant to our industry. You will be expected to foster a productive and safe working environment, develop and implement procedures, and track the workshop's progress against project timelines and budgets. As the key point of contact for workshop-related issues, you will work closely with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure all expectations are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workshop operations to ensure productivity and safety are maintained.
• Manage and lead a team of technicians, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Develop and enforce workshop policies and procedures to optimize efficiency.
• Monitor equipment and machinery to ensure they are functioning properly and safely.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to maintain necessary inventory levels.
• Schedule and track project timelines to ensure completion within deadlines.
• Conduct regular safety training sessions for all workshop staff.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure high-quality output of projects.
• Prepare and submit reports on workshop activities and progress to management.
• Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the workshop promptly.
• Implement cost-effective measures to enhance workshop operations and output.
• Liaise with clients to provide updates and ensure customer satisfaction consistently.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a workshop setting.
• Strong leadership and team management skills are essential for this position.
• Excellent understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills are necessary.
• Proficiency in using workshop management software and tools.
• Exceptional communication skills to articulate project requirements and expectations.
