Trendy Career (trendycareer.ae) is a UAE-based career platform operating since 2019. We are building a Web3 vertical that serves the most demanding segment of the regional professional market — active investors, on-chain operators, and crypto-native professionals who have real capital at stake and zero patience for platforms that do not understand the space from the inside.

About the Role

Most people who call themselves crypto analysts read Messari and repackage other peoples theses. We are not looking for that person.

We need someone who forms independent market views because they have money in the game — active positions across multiple networks, a multi-year track record through real market cycles, and the kind of judgment that only comes from having been wrong on-chain with real capital and learning from it.

In this role you become the companys primary market intelligence engine. You track on-chain capital flows, assess protocols as employers, identify which sectors are growing before it becomes obvious from headlines, and translate all of it into decisions that move the business: which companies to target, how to position services for the regions Web3 professionals, where the talent market is heading six months from now.

You are not writing reports for the sake of reports. Every output you produce should change something about how this company operates.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain a live map of Web3 employers in UAE and GCC — who is hiring, in which functions, at what compensation structures, and what their on-chain activity reveals about their actual trajectory

Read on-chain data as a leading indicator of talent demand: where capital is concentrating, which protocols are attracting serious participants, what that means for hiring before it shows up in job postings

Produce high-signal intelligence briefs for leadership — original synthesis grounded in direct market knowledge, not summaries of public sources

Assess the credibility and health of potential employer partners using on-chain signals: treasury composition, protocol activity, governance participation, and token distribution patterns

Track DeFi, L1/L2 ecosystem, and infrastructure investment trends as they relate to professional hiring in the region

Advise on platform strategy and service positioning based on where you see capital and talent moving

Maintain direct relationships with serious market participants in the UAE ecosystem — traders, fund managers, protocol contributors — who keep you calibrated to what is actually happening on the ground

Monitor regulatory developments at VARA, DIFC, and ADGM for their practical implications on Web3 hiring and investment activity in the UAE

Requirements

You are an active investor and on-chain operator with verifiable history across multiple networks and market conditions. This is not a credential — it is the mechanism by which you do the job. Your wallet history will be reviewed in detail and is the single most important input in our evaluation of your application.

Direct personal experience managing capital through DeFi with genuine downside exposure: lending protocol position management under real collateral pressure, liquidity provision with active range management, on-chain perpetuals or options trading, yield strategy execution across multiple protocols — at minimum three of these from actual execution, not observation.

The ability to read on-chain data and form independent, contrarian views when the evidence supports them. You use Dune, Nansen, Glassnode, and Arkham as primary research tools — not as dashboards you check occasionally.

You have been through at least one full market cycle with real capital at risk. You know what a genuine liquidity crisis feels like from inside an active position. That experience is irreplaceable and it is what we are hiring.

Strong analytical capability — you can build a financial model, structure a dataset, and produce analysis that holds up to scrutiny from a fund manager or a Series B founder.

Fluent, professional English — written and verbal. Your briefs will be read by senior people who will stop reading if the signal-to-noise ratio drops.

5+ years total professional experience; crypto and on-chain investing as a central, active part of your financial life for a minimum of 3 years.

Located in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Riyadh, or another GCC city with genuine commitment to relocate to Dubai.

Meaningful advantage:

Prior role at a crypto fund, protocol treasury, trading desk, or on-chain analytics firm. Ability to write Dune queries and build original dashboards. Existing relationships with investors, fund managers, or protocol teams active in the UAE/GCC market. Track record of published on-chain research, investment theses, or market analysis.

What We Offer

Base salary: AED 550,000 – 820,000 per year (approx. USD 150,000 – 223,000)

Performance bonus tied to intelligence product quality and Web3 vertical growth

Total annual compensation target: AED 700,000 – 1,050,000+
