Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor (FMCG) plays a critical role in managing the efficient and effective operation of a fast-moving consumer goods warehouse. This position requires a proactive leader who can oversee daily operations, manage a team of warehouse staff, and ensure that all stock is handled and stored correctly to meet customer demands promptly. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills and a keen understanding of inventory management systems. With significant experience in FMCG warehouses, the Warehouse Supervisor must ensure that the facility is safe, compliant with regulatory standards, and optimized for peak operational performance. This role requires coordination with other departments, managing logistics, and executing strategies for cost reduction and process improvement.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations and manage staff scheduling effectively.
  • Ensure all inventory is received, stored, and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners to streamline transportation and delivery operations.
  • Monitor and manage warehouse safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Lead and train a team of warehouse workers, fostering a productive team environment.
  • Implement effective stock control measures to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to critical inventory processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive cost reduction strategies.
  • Maintain detailed records of warehouse activities, including stock levels and discrepancies.
  • Manage warehouse infrastructure, ensuring equipment is in good working condition.
  • Liaise with customer service and sales departments to meet customer requirements.
  • Prepare reports on warehouse performance and operational issues for senior management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within an FMCG warehouse setting.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and hands-on approach.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team of warehouse staff effectively.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate across departments and with external partners.
  • Competency in using warehouse management software and relevant IT tools.
