The Warehouse Storekeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining and organizing the stock within a warehouse setting. Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy against purchase orders.

  • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure stock is replenished as needed.
  • Prepare and process orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct daily inspections to ensure goods are stored safely to prevent damage.
  • Load and unload goods from delivery trucks using appropriate equipment.
  • Communicate with suppliers or logistics companies to schedule and track deliveries.
  • Monitor warehouse supplies and order replenishments when stocks become low.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and warehouse procedures consistently.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to optimize warehouse layout and operations.
  • Manage returns by ensuring defective goods are accounted for and processed correctly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required for warehouse storekeeper positions.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations or similar roles beneficial.
  • Familiarity with inventory software, databases, and systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to operate forklifts or reach trucks, with certification preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required for accuracy.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects safely.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with suppliers and team members.
