Job Description

The Warehouse Assistant role is fundamental to ensuring smooth operations within a warehouse setting. This position involves a range of duties including inventory management, order processing, and maintaining a tidy and efficient work environment. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the warehouse team in all tasks related to the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. You will be expected to multitask and handle various manual and administrative tasks with precision and attention to detail. This role requires a proactive attitude, physical stamina, and the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision. As an integral part of the warehouse team, you will contribute directly to the timely delivery of products to our customers.


Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming inventory and shipments accurately.
  • Organize and store goods in the warehouse according to established protocols.
  • Assist in conducting regular inventory checks to ensure stock accuracy and availability.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch in a timely manner.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of the warehouse premises.
  • Use warehouse management software to record and track goods and shipments.
  • Coordinate with logistics for the timely receipt and dispatch of products.
  • Operate warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks safely and competently.
  • Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities and report discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Assist in the implementation of warehouse improvement processes and policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience working in a warehouse setting preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and effectively after training.
  • Strong physical stamina and the capability to lift heavy loads frequently.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory software systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and perform tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
