Job Description

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse facility. You will be responsible for managing stock, organizing and retrieving items efficiently, and aiding with the accurate shipment of goods. This position demands a meticulous individual who is capable of working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring organizational accuracy and contributing to a seamless supply chain. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to your duties will be essential, as you will be collaborating closely with other team members and departments. Your efforts will support overall business objectives by maintaining high standards for operations and customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock deliveries in a timely manner.
  • Organize and arrange items in the warehouse to optimize space utilization.
  • Assist in preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule.
  • Perform inventory audits and maintain accurate records of stock levels and movements.
  • Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Coordinate with logistics personnel to ensure timely delivery of products to clients.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to management promptly.
  • Operate machinery and handling equipment in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of warehouse operations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to handle complex order coordination efficiently.
  • Assist in developing warehouse processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience is highly preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary to manage inventory systems and software.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills is essential.
  • Physical ability to repeatedly lift and move heavy items when required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
