Wall Painter

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out wall painting, ceiling painting, and finishing works at residential and MEP project sites.
• Prepare surfaces before painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks, and applying putty.
• Apply primer, emulsion, texture, and finishing coats as required.
• Perform painting works around MEP installations, including electrical conduits, pipes, ducts, equipment, and other services.
• Ensure proper cutting-in and neat finishing around switches, sockets, doors, windows, skirting, pipes, and other fixtures.
• Match and maintain the required paint colour, shade, and finish according to project specifications.
• Protect floors, furniture, MEP equipment, and other finished surfaces from paint splashes and damage.
• Carry out touch-up and rectification works where required.
• Identify surface defects and report major issues to the supervisor before painting.
• Mix and prepare paints, primers, and other materials according to manufacturer instructions.
• Maintain painting tools and equipment in good condition.
• Follow site safety procedures and PPE requirements at all times.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and keep the work area clean after completion.
• Coordinate with MEP technicians, supervisors, carpenters, and other site workers to avoid damage to completed works.
• Complete assigned painting works within the required project schedule and quality standards.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Wall Painter/Painter in construction, MEP, fit-out, or residential projects.
• Good knowledge of surface preparation, putty, primer, emulsion, and finishing works.
• Experience working around MEP installations is preferred.
• Ability to achieve smooth and high-quality finishing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Immediate joiners preferred.
