Vice President Technical Services Hospitality

We are looking for an experienced Vice President Technical Services, with a previous hospitality and / or real estate experience.

With around 65 Millennium hotels in the Middle East, the region is growing rapidly with more in the pipeline.

This critical role involves overseeing the technical aspects of property development and maintenance across multiple locations. Key responsibilities span project management, engineering, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.

With a focus on optimizing technical operations and supporting property development initiatives within the region, it contributes to the overall success and growth of the company.

Key job responsibilities include:

• Oversee and coordinate technical services and project management functions across the regional portfolio
• Collaborate with property development teams in the region to ensure technical requirements are met during construction and renovation projects
• Develop and implement standardized technical procedures and quality standards applicable to regional properties, according to brand standards
• Manage engineering and technical teams, providing guidance, support, and training as needed
• Lead sustainability initiatives, ensuring regional properties adhere to environmental and energy efficiency standards
• Provide expertise on technical matters specific to the regional context, including building codes, engineering design, and construction processes
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and vendors within the region to ensure successful project delivery
• Conduct regular site inspections across the region, to assess the technical aspects of property maintenance and improvements
• Monitor and manage projects budgets, timelines and resource allocation for regional initiatives
  
  

The ideal candidate will have around 15-20 years experience including at least 5-7 in a similar leadership role. Both strategic and hands on, beyond the usual technical expertise, project management skills and close collaboration with marketing, the successful candidate will be able to roll up their sleeves and deliver results in a dynamic environment.

There is a significant growth ahead, which requires solid stakeholder management skills, resourcefulness and agility as well as exceptional team leadership and communication skills.

This newly created role is based in Dubai, and a hospitality background combined with prior experience in fast growth regions are necessary.
