Job Summary

The VP, Investment Finance at Kerzner International serves as the primary finance resource for our Property Company (PropCo) operations, coordinating support from Operating Company Finance resources to drive strategic investment initiatives across our ultra-luxury hospitality portfolio.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for developing and executing investment finance strategies that align with Kerzners aggressive expansion goals worldwide. You will lead financial due diligence for M&A opportunities, structure optimal financing solutions, and manage relationships with institutional investors, banks, and alternative lenders to secure required funding for property acquisitions, developments, and joint ventures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute investment finance strategy aligned with the groups expansion goals and growth objectives
  • Structure financing options that balance risk, liquidity, and return on investment across all property developments
  • Lead financial due diligence and structuring for potential M&A opportunities ensuring optimal capital allocation and risk management
  • Lead financing negotiations for property acquisitions, developments, and joint ventures with institutional partners
  • Secure debt financing, equity investments, and alternative funding sources to support strategic initiatives
  • Support financial modeling, valuation analysis, and scenario planning for critical investment decisions
  • Manage capital stack optimization balancing debt versus equity for each project to ensure financial sustainability
  • Structure joint ventures and partnerships to optimize ownership and financing structures for maximum returns
  • Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, banks, private equity firms and alternative lenders
  • Lead fundraising and capital sourcing initiatives to secure required fundings for strategic projects
  • Identify PropCo requirements for support from OpCo Finance team and coordinate resource allocation
  • Draw on Finance resources in OpCo to ensure all tasks and responsibilities are carried out effectively
  • Serve as finance generalist helping with other ad-hoc finance and accounting tasks as needed across the organization

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Minimum 12-15 years of progressive experience in investment finance, corporate development, or investment banking
  • At least 5-7 years in senior finance leadership roles with direct responsibility for capital raising and deal structuring
  • Masters degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field required
  • CFA, CPA, or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred
  • Proven track record in leading complex financing transactions exceeding $100M+ in hospitality, real estate, or related sectors
  • Deep expertise in debt and equity financing structures, capital markets, and alternative funding mechanisms
  • Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills with proficiency in scenario analysis and risk assessment
  • Extensive experience in M&A due diligence, deal structuring, and transaction execution
  • Strong relationships with institutional investors, banks, private equity firms, and alternative lenders
  • Expert knowledge of joint venture structuring and partnership optimization strategies
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills with ability to influence C-suite executives and external stakeholders
  • Experience in luxury hospitality, real estate development, or asset management preferred
