The Vice President/SMB One & AI is responsible for developing and executing the data strategy within the Business department, ensuring data-driven decision-making and insights generation. The role also leads initiatives for data monetization, transforming data assets into commercial value while maintaining compliance and data integrity.
Responsibilities
Data Strategy & Governance:
Develop and implement the department’s data and analytics strategy in alignment with business goals.
Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Insights Generation
Lead the analysis of business data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
Translate complex data into actionable insights for business stakeholders.
Data Monetisation
Identify and evaluate opportunities to monetise data assets, including new products, services, and partnerships.
Develop and manage data monetisation initiatives, ensuring value creation and revenue generation.
Collaborate with legal, compliance, and commercial teams to ensure ethical and secure data usage.
Team Leadership
Manage and mentor a team of data analysts, data scientists, and data monetisation specialists.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in data analytics and monetisation.
Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with business units to understand their data needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Present findings, recommendations, and monetisation opportunities to senior management and other stakeholders.
Performance Measurement
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business and monetisation performance.
Support the business in achieving targets through data-driven recommendations.
Advanced Analytics & Reporting
Oversee the development of dashboards, reports, and predictive models.
Ensure accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of all analytics and monetisation outputs.
Data Quality & Integrity
Ensure the quality, integrity, and security of business data.
Implement best practices for data management, analytics, and monetisation.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Management.
15+ years of experience.
Masters degree in a relevant field is desirable.
Proven leadership and management skills in a data-centric role.
Expertise in data analytics, monetization, and governance frameworks.
Strong business acumen and an understanding of commercial opportunities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with senior leadership.
Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
A track record of successful data-related projects and initiatives.
