Veterinary Nurse (225-1014)

Responsibilities

• Monitor the vital signs and overall condition of animals under care.
• Maintain and update accurate medical records for each animal patient.
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care, diet, and post-surgery recovery.
• Perform laboratory tests, such as blood or urine tests, as directed by the veterinarian.
• Prepare animals for surgery by following proper sterilization and preparation protocols.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the clinic and animal wards.
• Assist with the discharge process of animal patients and customer billing queries.
• Stock and prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with other veterinary staff members.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid to animals pending veterinarian arrival.

Requirements

• Certified Veterinary Nurse qualification or equivalent in related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a veterinary setting.
• Strong understanding of animal behavior, physiology, and medical procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with team members and clients.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and work efficiently under pressure.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
